I am located outside of Canada, can I buy from you?
Yes. That’s the beauty of Internet shopping. You can order from anywhere in the world, and we ship worldwide.
What is a Canadian dollar? How much will my order cost in US$?
As we are located in Canada, all our prices are based on the Canadian dollar. The Canadian dollar might be worth more or less than your currency. Right now, $1.00 US has approximately the same purchasing power as $1.07 Canadian, meaning your cost in US$ will be less than the cost in Canadian$. You can check the approximate cost of your order in US$ on our Order Page. All orders are processed in Canadian funds. Your credit card company will do the conversion to US$ using their conversion rate.
What does "/m" mean? What are "meters"
While measures in the US are based on the Imperial system, Canada uses the Metric system. All fabrics are sold by the meter (or fraction of) rather than by the yard. A meter is slightly longer than a yard - approximately 39". The symbol, "/m", stands for "per meter". To take away the guess work, we have a conversion table that gives the metric equivalent to yards. If you are still not comfortable ordering in meters, just place the order using yards and we'll be happy to do the conversion for you.
How do I pay for my order?
We accept both Visa® and MasterCard®. If you are based outside of Canada, we charge you credit card in Canadian dollars. Your credit card company will convert the purchase price to your local currency.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary depending on where you are located. For Canada and the USA, we offer a flat shipping fee. This fee does not increase regardless of the amount of your purchase or where you are located. The flat fee for Canada is $7.95 and for the USA, $9.75 Canadian. We also offer a flat fee shipping rate for a single pattern or book. If you are based outside of North America, shipping rates will vary depending on the weight of the package and the country to which it is being shipped. How do you ship your orders?
We ship through Canada Post by insured parcel post or Express Post. If you would like to ship through another method such as courier, let us know and we will contact you with an estimate of the shipping costs.
How long will it take for me to receive my order?
All orders are shipped within 24 hours of receipt. Orders are shipped five days a week, from Monday through Friday. In Canada there is no postal service on Saturday or Sunday. The time it takes to receive your order will vary depending on where you live. Shipping within Canada and the USA can take from as little as 3 business days up to 15 business days.
Can I fax in my order?
Sorry... not at this time. It is much more convenient and safer for you to use the order system built into this website. It uses the highest level of online security possible. Alternatively, if you wish, you can call our toll free number (800 340-9332) and place an order directly with us.
Do you sell wholesale?
We are a retail company. We are unable to offer any of the products we carry at wholesale prices. Of course, we have specials and sales on a regular basis so it pays to check in to this site often.
Can you mail me a sample?
Yes, we would be more than happy to mail a small number of requested samples. Just send us an email with the samples you would like to receive together with your name and mailing address.
