For each apron you will need:

apron body - 8" x 6" piece
vest 5" x 5" piece
fusible webbing like Steam-a-Seam or Wonder Under - 5" x 5" piece
two small buttons
one package of narrow double fold bias tape
thread

Instructions:

Using the printed pattern, cut one apron from main fabric. Place to one side.
Taking fabric for the vest, iron on the fusible webbing to the back (wrong side) of the fabric. Cut out vest pattern from fabric after fusible webbing has been attached. Remove paper from the back of the fabric and webbing, using the pattern as your guide, iron the vest on the apron front. Using a tight, narrow zigzag, sew the vest to the apron front going around the neck and bottom of the vest.

Applying the bias tape:

Cut a piece of bias tape approximately 12 inches in length. Pin in place around the bottom of the apron bottom. Once the bias tape is pinned in place, carefully stitch in place. (When using bias type on a curved area, it sometimes helps to iron or stream the bias tape into the shape or form you want before pinning in place). Cut a second piece of bias tape equal in length to the top of the apron. Pin and stitch in place. Cut a third and final piece of bias tape 30 inches in length. This piece will become the ties and neck loop for the aprons. Fold the bias tape in half and mark the center. From this center piece, measure down two inches on each side and mark. Now taking the bias tape, line the two marks you just made with the two top sides of the apron. This will give you a loop in the middle which will go around the neck of the bottle. Carefully pin the bias tape in place going down either side. Once complete, start sewing at the end of open apron tie, working along the tie, up the apron, around the neck loop, down the other side and back down the tie.

You bottle apron is now complete. Clip all loose threads. These make wonderful gifts and are great to make for any occasion.
